Karen has over 15 years of Human Resources experience partnering with executive leadership teams for both revenue and infrastructure client groups to drive organizational effectiveness and agile business growth. She has expertise in restructuring, change management, performance management, talent assessment and succession planning, compensation, and digital HR.
Prior to joining Crothers Consulting, she has advised clients at Citigroup, Barclays, and ADP on numerous people initiatives, such as organizational reform for the migration of payroll platforms, reductions-in-force, implementation of a company-wide workforce planning program, location strategy business communications, annual compensation process and reward practices including analysis of multi-million dollar incentive pools, and development and UAT testing of a proprietary online compensation tool. She has also resolved complex employee relations issues and served as a coach for a leadership development program.
She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology from Boston College, master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and Organizational Coaching Certification from New York University. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (SHRM Chapter), and
is a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Karen is actively involved in her community and has devoted her HR skills in volunteer capacities. In particular, she volunteered as a Job Coach/HR Consultant for the JBJ Soul Kitchen Employment and Empowerment Team helping program participants rebuild confidence and develop skills to obtain sustainable employment and career fulfillment, and as an HR consultant for Monmouth Arts advising them on a range of HR initiatives.
She enjoys exploring the world through travel and adventure whenever possible with her husband and two sons.
