DeeDee Dickey is a strategic HR leader and trusted advisor to executive teams, known for designing people strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness, culture, and performance. With experience spanning mission-driven nonprofits and global corporate environments, she brings a human-centered, results-oriented approach to aligning talent strategy, operations, and business goals. DeeDee previously served as Vice President of Talent & HR at Candid, a data and technology nonprofit organization, where she led enterprise-wide people strategy, HR operations, and facilities functions while partnering closely with executive leadership. She successfully evolved the HR function from a transactional model into a scalable strategic capability, implemented innovative employee engagement programs, and guided the organization through complex change, including merger related activities, the pandemic response, remote workforce transformation, and organizational restructuring.
Earlier in her career, DeeDee served as the HR Director at The Harlem School of the Arts, where she built a comprehensive HR infrastructure from the ground up, introducing systems, policies, compensation strategies, and performance frameworks that strengthened organizational effectiveness during a critical growth phase. She also held multiple leadership roles at Citigroup, providing strategic HR partnership across large global business units and leading initiatives related to employee relations, talent development, employee engagement, and recruiting optimization.
DeeDee holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from The New School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Howard University, along with a certificate in Strategic HR Management from Cornell and advanced professional development in organizational culture leadership.
When DeeDee is not supporting organizations and employees in achieving their full potential, she enjoys spending treasured time with her two children, exploring the vibrant neighborhoods of her beloved Manhattan, leisurely traveling to expand her global perspective, and indulging in anything chocolate.
