If you knew that 5 minutes of writing might help, would you give it a try?

Week 1: Clean Slate (45 minutes)

Week 3: Oxygen Mask: Me First (45 minutes)

The Science of Happiness (R12)

What is the pursuit of happiness? How do we find it? How do we hold on to it? What does it mean to us professionally and/or personally?

We’ve been taught that if we work hard, we will be successful, and then we’ll be happy. If we can just find that great job, get a raise, lose those five pounds, happiness will follow. However, discoveries in the field of positive psychology have shown that this formula is actually backward: happiness fuels success, not the other way around.

When we are positive our brains become more engaged, creative, motivated, energetic, resilient and productive. While happiness can seem ephemeral and a “soft” topic, there are numerous studies using scientific data studying neural brain science that proves happier people are more productive, healthier, and have greater well-being in their lives.

In this workshop, participants will use a framework to define what happiness means to each of us and create our own well-being formula.

Resilience - It’s Time to Drop the Rock (R13)

Everyday resilience is the ability to overcome the day-to-day disruptions or disturbances that hinder us. Limiting beliefs, interpretations and assumptions can also weigh us down, adding rocks to the proverbial backpack that we all carry. Neuroscience explains how we respond to challenges using our automatic default modes and why we get triggered, and equally important, why habits are difficult to change.

A Resilience Framework will illuminate how to build resilience, relieving stress and overwhelm. Through in-depth discussion, this workshop will have participants examine how to remove these rocks and identify tools and strategies to build resilience.

Lead into Your Strengths (R14)

Why is it so hard for us to do? There are many answers to this question, but ultimately it begins with identifying and articulating our values. Strengths are our innate abilities, while skills are learned through training or experience. Although every person has certain signature strengths most people are not truly aware of the strengths they possess.

Learn how to become more self-aware of your strengths and create a plan to further develop and optimize them. Research has shown that leaning into your strengths creates higher levels of well-being and leads to greater overall success.
